Ashley & Reid Wedding - Smith Restaurant
Ashley and Reid’s intimate backyard wedding was a beautiful blend of heartfelt moments, personal touches, and stunning Winnipeg locations. As a Winnipeg wedding photographer, I love capturing these small, meaningful celebrations, and their day was a perfect example of how magical an intimate wedding can be.
The ceremony took place in the backyard of a close family friend’s home in East St. Paul. Officiated by Sheryl from Marry Me Hunnie, it was a sweet and touching exchange of vows. The backyard setting created an intimate atmosphere that made every moment feel personal and deeply connected to those present. Surrounded by loved ones, Ashley and Reid’s ceremony was a perfect reflection of their love—simple, elegant, and full of joy.
After the ceremony and family photos, we headed to Captain Kennedy House, one of the most charming places to take wedding photos in East St. Paul. The beautifully landscaped property provided a serene backdrop for Ashley and Reid’s portraits. The natural surroundings of lush gardens and historical architecture gave their photos a timeless, romantic feel, capturing the essence of their day perfectly.
As the day transitioned, we made our way to the Forks for the reception. The Forks is another favourite spot for wedding photos, with its scenic views and bustling atmosphere. Before the intimate reception began, we took advantage of the time to capture more portraits around The Forks. The vibrant energy of this Winnipeg landmark added a playful and dynamic element to the couple’s portraits.
Their reception at Smith Restaurant at the Inn at the Forks was the perfect setting for a small gathering, offering an intimate space where family and friends could relax and enjoy the evening. From heartfelt speeches to a cozy cocktail hour, the event was the perfect capstone to a day full of love and laughter.
Ashley and Reid’s wedding day was a true celebration of love in the most beautiful settings Winnipeg has to offer. From the backyard ceremony to portraits at Captain Kennedy House and The Forks, every moment was a reflection of their unique love story.
