Lauren & Adrian Wedding - Pinawa

When Lauren and Adrian planned their intimate wedding in Pinawa, Manitoba, they had no idea they were about to embark on an unforgettable journey. Joined by their closest family members, these two created the sweetest, most personal day imaginable, all set against the beautiful backdrop of Manitoba’s natural landscape.

The day began at the cozy log cabin where Adrian and his family were getting ready. This cabin, known as Lazy Days Lodge in Lac du Bonnet, would later serve as the venue for their reception. The relaxed atmosphere and stunning surroundings set the perfect tone for the day ahead. After spending time with Adrian, I made my way to the nearby Airbnb, where Lauren was preparing for the ceremony with her family. The anticipation in the air was palpable as everyone prepared for the moment Lauren and Adrian would say "I do."

The ceremony took place outdoors in a lovely grassy field, providing a serene and intimate setting for their vows. Surrounded by nature and their loved ones, Lauren and Adrian’s ceremony was heartfelt and personal—exactly what they had envisioned.

After the ceremony, we took some beautiful family and wedding party photos around the Airbnb property. But the real adventure was yet to come. Being from British Columbia, Lauren and Adrian had no idea that they were just 15 minutes away from the iconic Old Pinawa Dam. I suggested a last-minute change of plans and asked them to trust me on a little adventure. They hadn’t seen any photos of the location, so their reaction when we arrived was priceless—completely blown away by the epic ruins.

The old Pinawa Dam is a dream location for wedding photos, with its dramatic structures and breathtaking natural surroundings. We spent time exploring the ruins, capturing stunning images that perfectly encapsulated the adventurous spirit of the day. Lauren and Adrian embraced the experience wholeheartedly, and it was a true highlight of their wedding.

After our photo session at the dam, we returned to the log cabin where their families were waiting for the reception. The deck of the cabin was beautifully decorated, and everyone gathered to enjoy a delicious dinner catered by King Cole Catering. The night continued with plenty of laughter, drinks, and one of the most unique wedding receptions we’ve ever seen—Lauren and Adrian had planned a cowboy-themed party! With props and costumes galore, everyone got into the spirit, dancing and celebrating under the Manitoba sky.

Lauren’s stunning dress from Needle & Thread, the vibrant flowers from Carnation Corner Plus, and the expert hair and makeup by Prep all contributed to making this day truly special. From start to finish, this Pinawa wedding was an incredible celebration of love, family, and adventure.

As Winnipeg wedding photographers, it’s days like this that remind us why we love what we do. Thank you, Lauren and Adrian, for trusting us with your memories and for letting us be a part of your extraordinary day!
