When Kayla and Carlin chose Grand Beach for their engagement photos, we were thrilled to capture them in a place that holds special memories from one of their first dates. As a Winnipeg wedding photographer, it’s always exciting to work in such picturesque locations, and Grand Beach provided the perfect backdrop for their Love Story session.

We started the shoot by welcoming their adorable pup, Doobie, into the frame. The golden hour light was absolutely magical, casting a warm, dreamy glow over the beach. Doobie’s playful antics added an extra layer of charm to the photos, and we took full advantage of the soft, glowing light to create some creative and captivating shots.

Carlin brought along his acoustic guitar, and it quickly became a delightful addition to the session. Watching Carlin serenade Kayla on the beach was a special moment, and the gentle strumming of the guitar under the setting sun made for some beautiful, intimate photos.

As the sun began to dip lower in the sky, we wrapped up the first part of the session and transitioned to a more “beachy” vibe with an outfit change. Kayla and Carlin embraced the full beach experience by running along the shoreline, chasing seagulls, and letting the wind play with their hair. The playful, carefree energy they brought to the shoot was infectious.

Just as we thought the session had reached its peak, Kayla and Carlin decided to run into the chilly late fall waves. Their spontaneous splash into the water resulted in some of our favorite shots from the session. The joy and excitement captured in those photos are truly priceless and showcase their fun-loving spirits perfectly.

It was clear that this session wasn’t just about capturing beautiful photos; it was about celebrating Kayla and Carlin’s love and the memories they’ve created together.
