Alennie & David Love Story - Nonsuch Brewery Winnipeg

Capturing love stories in unique settings is what I love most as a Winnipeg wedding photographer, and this session at Nonsuch Brewery in Winnipeg’s vibrant Exchange District was no exception. The session kicked off at the Nonsuch Brewery, a local favorite known for its distinctive atmosphere and those iconic umbrellas that hang artfully from the ceiling. From the moment we arrived, I knew we were in for something special.

The couple, full of energy and excitement, fit right in with the eclectic vibe of the brewery. We started by grabbing some candid shots of them enjoying a quiet moment together, surrounded by the warm, ambient light that fills the space. The waitress was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to move around and explore different angles, even offering us a quieter corner where we could really capture the intimacy of the moment. The mix of industrial chic and cozy charm at Nonsuch Brewery provided the perfect backdrop for these photos, giving the images a modern yet timeless feel.

After wrapping up our session inside, we took to the streets of the Exchange District, one of Winnipeg’s most iconic neighborhoods. Known for its historic architecture, cobblestone streets, and artistic flair, the Exchange District is a photographer’s dream. We wandered through the streets, using the natural light and urban scenery to create a variety of shots that reflected the couple’s playful and adventurous spirit.

The Exchange District is full of hidden gems, and we made the most of every opportunity. We found a quaint alleyway with brick walls that perfectly contrasted with the couple’s outfits, and I captured some stunning shots as they strolled hand in hand, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. The golden hour light streaming between the buildings added a romantic glow to the photos, making each moment feel even more magical.

One of the highlights of the session was when we stumbled upon a mural that added a pop of color to the shots, bringing out the couple’s fun-loving personalities. They weren’t afraid to get creative, which made the session even more enjoyable. As we continued exploring the Exchange District, we found ourselves at a beautiful old building with intricate details that added a touch of elegance to the shoot. The juxtaposition of modern love against the historic backdrop of the Exchange District made for some truly memorable images.

By the end of the session, it was clear that these two were not only deeply in love but also had an incredible sense of adventure and creativity. I can’t wait to work with them again on their wedding day, knowing that they’ll bring the same energy and enthusiasm to every moment.
