After exchanging vows, the newlyweds enjoyed a reception on the fort grounds with appetizers and drinks. A highlight of the day was their grand entrance, which featured a striking 5-man gun salute—a unique and memorable way to mark their union as husband and husband.

Following the ceremony, we explored the fort and its scenic surroundings for some stunning photos. Although our time in the lush, treed area down by the river was brief due to the peak mosquito season, the natural beauty of the setting still provided a wonderful backdrop for their portraits.

We then ventured to the Esplanade Riel footbridge for additional photos. James and Michael shared that despite their years together and many travels, they had only a few photos of themselves as a couple. We were delighted to capture these special moments, adding to their collection of cherished memories.
