As Winnipeg wedding photographers, we are always thrilled to embark on destination shoots, and joining Samantha and Tyler in Ubud, Bali, for their honeymoon session was a true highlight. This tropical paradise offered an unforgettable backdrop for capturing their love story, blending the lush landscapes of Indonesia with their own romantic journey.
Our adventure began in the charming town of Ubud, a haven of vibrant culture and stunning scenery. We wandered through the local streets, where the air was filled with the sweet aroma of Balinese cuisine. The town's villas and shaded pathways, draped with hanging tree vines, provided a picturesque setting for our initial shots. Samantha and Tyler’s easygoing nature and genuine affection made every moment enjoyable and effortless, setting the stage for an unforgettable day.
One of the most exciting parts of our session was visiting the stunning Tibumana Waterfall, located just a short drive from our villa. The waterfall, with its crystal-clear waters and lush surroundings, provided a breathtaking backdrop for their photos. We arranged for a special permit to photograph at the waterfall, a small but worthwhile investment that allowed us to capture their elopement in this magical setting.
November proved to be a perfect time to visit, as the waterfall wasn’t overcrowded with tourists. We were fortunate to have a few moments of solitude, with some locals even helping us by clearing the way to ensure we got the best view of the waterfall behind Samantha and Tyler. Their spontaneous joy and willingness to embrace the moment added an extra layer of charm to our photos.
Despite the 36-degree heat, Samantha and Tyler were eager to make the most of their session. Their decision to dip their toes into the cool, refreshing waters of the waterfall was an easy one, and it resulted in some truly enchanting photos. Their genuine smiles and playful interactions against the backdrop of the cascading falls created a series of images that perfectly captured the essence of their honeymoon.
The combination of Ubud’s natural beauty, the serene ambiance of Tibumana Waterfall, and Samantha and Tyler’s love for each other made this session incredibly special.
