From a rainy first look to an elegant reception at Elmhurst Golf & Country Club, their wedding was nothing short of magical.
The day began with the couple getting ready in separate locations with their wedding parties, full of anticipation and excitement. Once ready, we met at Birds Hill Park for their first look. Despite nerves and excitement, Tristan and Tim’s connection was undeniable. We had planned to take a series of portraits in the lush natural surroundings of Birds Hill Park, a popular spot for wedding photos in Winnipeg, but the rain had other plans. As the drops began to fall, we quickly adjusted, capturing some beautiful moments before heading to the next location earlier than planned.
Elmhurst Golf & Country Club became the perfect backdrop for the rest of the day. The lush green landscape and elegant setting provided plenty of spots for stunning photos. Even though the rain meant moving some events indoors, the team from Amanda Douglas Events and Stone House Creative worked quickly to transform the indoor space into a breathtaking ceremony setup. The floral arrangements and decor were thoughtfully placed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for Tristan and Tim’s vows.
Before the ceremony, the couple took a quiet moment to rehearse their vows privately. It was an intimate moment that we were honored to capture, giving them a chance to reflect on their journey together before walking down the aisle.
Their ceremony, though initially planned for outdoors, felt even more intimate indoors. The room was filled with emotion, from the heartfelt vows to the smiles of friends and family, making it clear just how loved this couple is.
Once the rain cleared, we were able to step outside for family photos, capturing the joy of their loved ones alongside the stunning backdrop of the golf course. The weather, while unpredictable, only added to the charm of the day.
As evening fell, the reception kicked off with dinner, speeches, and a packed dance floor. The indoor space at Elmhurst Golf & Country Club was perfect for the lively celebration, with laughter and dancing filling the room.
