Lauren & Travis Wedding - The Manitoba Club
We had the pleasure of photographing and filming Lauren and Travis’ stunning Winnipeg winter wedding at The Manitoba Club in January 2024. The day was filled with elegance, charm, and a touch of old-world sophistication, despite the freezing temperatures.
The day began at the historic Fort Garry Hotel, where both Lauren and Travis got ready with their wedding parties. The excitement and anticipation were palpable as everyone prepped for the big day. We captured some beautiful candid moments, as well as detailed shots of their attire, including Lauren’s stunning gown from LA Collection and Travis’ classic tux from Moore’s. To keep warm on this icy day, the couple opted for a first look inside the Fort Garry Hotel, allowing them to enjoy a private and emotional moment away from the cold.
After the first look, we headed to The Manitoba Club, where the grandeur of the space perfectly complemented their wedding. We took portraits around the venue, including the iconic billiards room inside the club. The rich wood paneling and classic decor made for timeless photos, perfectly suiting their elegant winter wedding vibe.
Next, we made our way to the iconic St. Boniface Cathedral for some more formal portraits. The cathedral’s breathtaking ruins provided a beautiful backdrop for their couple photos, blending the grandeur of history with the crisp beauty of the winter day. Even though it was cold, Lauren and Travis were troopers, and the resulting photos were absolutely worth it!
Once we returned to The Manitoba Club, it was time for the ceremony. Held in the Oak Room, the intimate setting, surrounded by close friends and family, felt warm and cozy despite the winter chill outside. The reception that followed was the pinnacle of elegance. From the stunning florals by Oak & Wild to the carefully curated decor by Planned Perfectly and Trend Decor, every detail was exquisite. The Manitoba Club outdid itself with an incredible catered dinner, and Jenna Rae Cakes provided delicious flavors that were a hit with all the guests.
The evening was filled with laughter, heartfelt speeches, and a lot of dancing. The photobooth from 6 Degrees added a fun touch, and the dancefloor lit up thanks to Spark and Event Lighting, creating a magical atmosphere for the couple and their guests to celebrate the night away.
This wedding was a perfect mix of elegance, fun, and winter magic, and we were honored to capture it all—both in photos and on video. Congratulations again to Lauren and Travis!
